Park’s City Pool Open

Park’s City Pool Open

When school lets out over the summer having family friendly entertainment for the community becomes even more of a priority and a challenge for every small town. This year there will be many different types of events around Livingston to keep people active and entertained. The summer favorite for so many is Livingston City Pool in Matthew’s Street Park. The pool is open to the public now. picture of city pool

Matthews Street Park’s City Pool has a deep end for swimmers to take advantage of with the diving board and slides. It also has some covered seating, a snack bar, and a separate baby pool. Just outside the pool are tennis courts and play equipment to make for a whole day of fun. Just across the street there is a walking track, covered picnic tables, and volleyball nets. The park has made upgrades and wheelchair accessible additions so even more people can enjoy themselves.

The pool and park are open for families and individuals of all ages. Children are required to have a chaperone that is at least 18 years of age with them at all times to get into the pool. The park itself is free, but everyone 3 years of age and older must pay $3 each for pool admittance (or purchase a discount pass for multiple visits).

Don’t forget the pool also has swimming lessons for all ages, hosts the local youth swim team, and even has water aerobics. The pool is also available for private parties through the Trade Days/Main Street office at Pedigo Park.

Livingston Specialty Merchants’ Guild invites the town and its visitors to #livlocal at Matthew’s Street Park and the City Pool this summer.
