Local Christmas Tree Farm Opens
The Piney Woods of Texas is just that. Piney woods. With the thick forests full of beautiful trees all over, sometimes the views are taken for granted. Sometimes people forget to stop and enjoy the beauty that is a tree. When there are dozens in almost every yard, that makes sense. Well, that is, unless it’s Christmas. The time of year when one special tree makes it inside to be part of the holiday magic. One tree gets to be the central location of gift-giving and celebration. Look no further for the perfect tree, Double Creek Christmas Tree Farm has it covered. Opening day is November 25th. Admission to the tree farm is free and trees are priced individually. 
This farm has acres of land for visitors to adventure through. Not only will this be the place to find the perfect tree, but it’s a place to make some memories. Get bundled up and make the way around this perfect setting for holiday pictures.
Don’t think it ends with the tree, though. It doesn’t even have to start with the tree on this farm. Double Creek Farm has lots of activities available. Take a ride on the Hayride or go for a jump. Let the kids make a memory in the Playhouse, Fort, or Sandbox. There are additional games like Duck Races, where no one needs to climb. There’s even a Fire Pit when the Texas weather permits.
Make a quick stop by the Gift Shop before heading out. They’ve got wreaths, garland, miscellaneous gifts, “ducks” for duck races, and more. Their hot chocolate seems to be a favorite of the locals who make this an annual holiday destination. 
Even family members with a wet and cold nose are welcome too. Bring those friendly dogs and their leashes to really enjoy some time with the whole family. Someone needs to be in charge of bringing the camera or check having phone memory ready before heading over. The picture-perfect moments at this place are too frequent to count.
