We are perfectly situated in the rolling hills of East Texas surrounded by acres of forests and only minutes away from Lake Livingston, the second largest lake in Texas. Our town is full of hidden treasures. We even have the “The Luckiest Place in Texas”.

Don’t worry about getting lost because ‘Sam the Fish’ will show you all the best spots. You’ll be able to follow Sam around town to our locally owned businesses. When you shop, dine, play or stay at Sam’s favorite spots, then you’re supporting our local economy and becoming part of our family.

We invite you to stop by one of the many listed locations to grab a copy of our Visitor Guide and Map and have some fun. If shopping is your passion, local merchants offer happy hunting in the many antique and specialty shops. For an even greater shopping experience visit during the Trade Days show at Pedigo Park. Our local parks are open if you just need to relax in the fresh air or want to grab a meal to go from our many restaurants for a picnic. Don’t forget to try your luck and make some memories at our places to play around like a local. After having the time of your life, you can always stay at one of our lovely bed and breakfasts or hotels.
